Who we are
Two dancers, two countries,
one partnership
Peter and Rachell van der Veek went from world-class competitors to renowned professional performers, adjudicators and mentors.
We are qualified teachers in Ballroom and Latin American (IDTA, SATD, NZFATD and NZFDT), New Vogue, Zumba, personal fitness training and child development in dance — and members of, and adjudicators for, the WDO and WDC.
Two searches, one answer
Rachell Jansen travelled to England looking for a dance partner. Peter van der Veek, the Dutch Amateur Latin American champion, was looking for the same thing.
Champions in The Hague
They won the Dutch Amateur Latin American Championship — and went down in history as the first couple from two different countries to win the title.
An Aotearoa New Zealand flag
They turned professional, and received permission to represent Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our book
Beyond Strictly
Dancing
Peter van der Veek's book integrates sport science into competitive dance performance — agility, coordination, speed, endurance and strength.
Drawn from research not yet widely used in Ballroom and Latin American dance, it explores a world where gravity generates power and centrifugal force is key.
